welcome

Hi there, you've found your way over to Wine, Women & Stories, an assortment of fiction, nonfiction, journalism and a cartoon or two by Grace Ashford.

Grace is a Los Angeles-born writer and reporter currently based in New York City.  She studied English Literature and Feminist and Queer Theory at Vassar College, mostly because she loves Virginia Woolf. She was a Toni Stabile Fellow at Columbia Journalism School studying investigative reporting.  She's a contributing writer at Trumplandia Magazine and a member of the Investigations team at The New York Times.

Grace is interested in the criminal justice system, mental health, environmental issues, and politics. Non-journalistic interests include crossword puzzles, stand-up comedy, hiking, murder mysteries, and the work of Jim Henson.

She's always ready for a good story.
